5-12 August 2017

A week in the gorgeous East Sussex countryside at Ashburnham Place with friends from Leeds Vineyard and other churches.

Our theme is TRANSITION. It’s taken from the two points in a Triathlon where the athletes change sports (from swimming to cycling and then from cycling to running). For professional triathletes the transition zone is a place of calm and poetic beauty. For the rest it sometimes looks like a lesson in chaos theory! Which is often what it feels like when we go through transitions in life. All of us have gone, or are going, or will go through transitions. So whatever your race is like you will find wise counsel, encouragement and healing at Ashburnham 2017. Join us for an amazing week.

If this is the first time you've heard about Ashburnham here is a link to a short video about the place itself.

Ashburnham 2017 is a week-long holiday in which our church family joins with several others from around the country (Chapel A Baptist, Woodlands, Bristol and others) to camp or stay in a country house in deepest East Sussex. We do this every two years and after the stunning success of Ashburnham 2015 we are really looking forward to 2017.

It is a full week during which you can camp in gorgeous surroundings or go full board in the house (or a combination). There is a teaching, seminar and worship program and loads for children and young people to do. We play volleyball, sunbathe, swim or just drink tea and chat with friends old and new.

Alison and David are the hosts for the week and we're glad to welcome Stephen and Helena Ibbotsen who are introducing a contemplative track this year.
