Christmas Service | Sunday 17 December 2017 | 11am
All ages love to celebrate Christmas and we’re going to have a lot of fun doing just that on Sunday 17 December, 11am at Headingley Methodist Church. This is a service which all ages can join in with – singing our favourite carols and worship songs and hearing the Christmas story. There’ll be opportunities to take part in other ways too - if you would like to.
Our theme is Favour: Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to those on whom his favour rests. Luke 2:14.
Hot drinks are served outside the church from 10.45am. The service starts at 11.00am and will last about an hour. Please join us for a festive lunch afterwards - bring along some food ready to share. We’d love to see you and your friends there. All welcome.
Please bring food ready to share, and if able, a little extra for guests. Please don't bring mince pies - they will be provided! Sign up to let us know what food you will bring.
We are warmly encouraging everyone to dress up and be part of telling the story of Jesus’ birth – no one is too young or old! You are welcome to pick any character from the nativity story and be as creative as you like! However, during the telling of the story we will be particularly inviting any Marys, Josephs, stable animals, shepherds and wise men to parade around the church so children may prefer to pick one of these.
After the service and during the shared picnic there will be a variety of Christmas craft activities available for 3 to 11 year olds. Come and get involved in the fun.
Join us for Christmas Carols at 7.30pm!
