“In humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of others” - Phillipians 2:4
We are a group focussed on how we can practically change our behaviours so that our time on the earth will have a net positive impact on the planet. Rather than focussing on what we mustn’t do and what we should stop doing we want to help people to find a “new normal” way of living which is sustainable, pleasant and realistic. We’d love to help those around us to do the same and as a group we want to inspire, encourage, challenge and motivate – if this sounds like something for you, then please join us. We’re just a normal bunch of people trying to help save the world!
Our mentor in this endeavour is Professor Darren Evans (he is the Professor of Ecology and Conservation at Newcastle University and a member of A Rocha International's Conservation Science Advisory Council). You can read a recent blog he has written about Giant Jenga and the ecosystem here!
Over time we will add resources here, and are planning a trip to COP26 in Glasgow later in the year (Covid-regulations permitting).
If you consider Leeds Vineyard your church home and would like to join us as we do this then please do sign up using the link below and we will be in touch.
