Jesus, the persecuted peacemaker, sacrificed Himself on the cross, in the ultimate act of love. He then revealed the awe-inspiring power of God through His resurrection.
At Easter we discover that Jesus, this peacemaker, this non-anxious presence in a time of turmoil, faced persecution until death. Yet death could not hold the Son of God and He rose to claim the promise of peace for us all.
