Equip Year is designed to equip you to follow Jesus more fully - to grow in your love for God, live faithfully in community, serve effectively with your gifts, develop as an influential leader, and actively participate in God’s mission in the world.

This year creates space for you to grow deeply, be shaped by Jesus, and step into all He has for you, with the tools, training, experiences, and support you need along the way.

Throughout the year, we will focus on five key areas of equipping: Formation, Community, Ministry, Leadership, and Mission. Each area is intentionally crafted to help you grow as a follower who is ready to make a kingdom impact in every part of life.

Formation

Grow deeper in your love for God and be shaped more like Jesus. You’ll engage with Scripture, explore Kingdom theology, learn spiritual practices, and receive practical training in prayer, hearing God’s voice, spiritual gifts, and living out Kingdom breakthroughs daily.

Community

Journey with others in authentic, Kingdom-centred community. Equip Year gives you a space to be known, encouraged, and supported as you grow together.

Ministry

Discover and develop your gifts through hands-on ministry. Serve in different areas of church life and find where you can make the greatest impact.

Leadership

Grow as a leader with integrity and influence—whether in church, work, or wider society. Learn to disciple others, steward responsibility, and step into your calling.

Mission

Learn to live a missional life shaped by God’s heart for the poor, the lost, and the world. Be equipped to share your faith and carry God’s kingdom into everyday places.

Who is it for?

We are looking for people over 18 who know and love Jesus and who are committed to Leeds Vineyard. That means:

  • Regularly going to a small group

  • Serving on a team within the church

  • Attending regularly on Sundays

  • Giving financially in an accountable way

The Equip Year will start in September and finish mid-July. There will be time off at Christmas and Easter, half terms and the summer holidays. This is in line with the academic year.

When does it run?

How will it work?

The year will be part time - approximately 12 hours per week. These hours will be mainly on Mondays and some Sundays serving at Sunday Gathering. There will be also some evening commitments as required. We would expect that you will find part-time work as a way of supporting yourself financially over the year.

How much will it cost?

The total cost of the year is £120. This will cover your Vineyard Theological Modules and books.

Vision Night

If you’re curious about the Equip Year we’d love to invite you to the Vision Night.

We'll share the heart behind the year, what it looks like in practice, and how it helps people grow in formation, community, ministry, leadership, and mission as part of Leeds Vineyard.

Whether you're actively considering applying or simply want to explore what God might be inviting you into next, this night is a chance to hear the vision, ask questions, and prayerfully discern your next step.

The Equip Year isn’t just a programme, it’s a year of discovering more of who God is and who He has made you to be. If you’re longing to grow, stretch, and step further into God’s call on your life, we would love you to join us.
