Day of Generosity

Sunday 31 May 2026 is our Day of Generosity when we took an offering as a church family and give it all away.

We do this every year as an expression of our thanksgiving to God for all He has given to us as a church. And as we give to others, they in turn give thanks to God for His provision for them.

We believe that “the local church is the hope of the world” and so this year, as we learn about the Beloved Community, our giving will be focussed on church planting - both globally and locally.

We are supporting the following endeavours in 2026 and our offering (made up of many individual small amounts and large ones too) will be divided between them.

Vineyard Global

This organisation seeks to support and strengthen Vineyard church planting and church growth all around the world (currently on six continents).

Ivan & Libby Mungarro in Ensenada, Mexico

Libby (who grew up in Leeds Vineyard), Ivan and family are working hard to see God's Kingdom come in a multitude of ways. Obediently following God's nudge for them to step forward and gather those in need around them, they have found themselves helping to lead a thriving and growing church. We see God's hand at work in their humble and faithful efforts and want to bless them in what they are doing.

Godwin & Emily Aduah in Accra, Ghana

Our friends Emily, Godwin and family were initially sent from Trent Vineyard to Ghana. Corruption in wider Ghanaian society is widespread and this sadly includes the church. Preaching of the prosperity gospel is prevalent (where Christians are incorrectly taught that if you are generous, you will definitely be blessed with health and wealth). With this context in mind, they have planted an innovative and counter-cultural church community in Accra called Mosaic Vineyard and God is at work in powerful ways there, so we want to bless them in their endeavours.

Andrew & Sally Lingham, in Durham, UK

In 2026 Andrew & Sally move from Leeds to plant a new Vineyard church in Durham. Our gift will help them with the practical costs of offering hospitality and gathering people as they seek to build a local church and extend the kingdom to those who don’t know Jesus in the city.
