Tomás & Hetal Knowlson
Tomás and Hetal are the Senior Pastors of Leeds Vineyard. They are passionate about helping people discover life to the full in Jesus and seeing the church become a place where everyone can belong, grow, and play their part in God's kingdom.
They love seeing people encounter Jesus, become more like him, and discover the unique part they have to play in God's story. Together with the church family, they long to see Leeds transformed by the love and power of Jesus.
Tomás and Hetal have been part of the Vineyard movement for many years and love serving the church at Leeds Vineyard. They live in Leeds with their daughter and, when they're not at church, enjoy a cheeky Nandos, spending time with friends, and exploring Yorkshire together.
The story of Leeds Vineyard
Leeds Vineyard was planted in the late 1990s by David and Alison Flowers, who sensed God calling them to establish a Vineyard church in Leeds. What began as a small community has, by God's grace, grown into a diverse Christian church with a longing to see people discover life to the full in Jesus across our city.
Over the years we've gathered in a number of different locations as the church has grown. Today we meet in Headingley, with people travelling from Leeds and beyond to worship, grow in faith and build community together. Along the way, we've also had the privilege of planting and supporting new Vineyard churches, helping other communities experience life in Jesus too.
As part of the Vineyard family of churches, we are passionate about worship, the Bible, prayer, discipleship, the presence and power of the Holy Spirit, authentic community, church planting, and serving our city with compassion. We are an evangelical, charismatic church, centred on Jesus and expectant of the Holy Spirit's work today. We believe everyone has a part to play in God's Kingdom and that following Jesus is something we do together.
