Shining a light in the darkness

The Lantern is a space where adults with multiple and complex needs can find friendship, food and faith.

We run The Lantern in partnership with Cornerstone Baptist Church, in the Green House Café.

Tuesday & Wednesdays | 10.30am - 12.30pm
Drop in cafe for fellowship and food

Sundays | 3.30pm - 5.00pm
Two-course hot meal served at 4pm, followed by a service at 4.30pm

At the service we sing a song that we can all join in with, not a specifically Christian song but one with appropriate words such as ‘You've Got a Friend in Me’, from Toy Story. Then comes a short talk, often with a dramatised Bible reading followed by intercessory prayer, sharing the peace, an opportunity for prayer ministry, the Lord’s Prayer and a Blessing.
